Competitive / Performance Team | |
| Auditions for the Team will be held during the summer prior to starting the dance season. Students must be at least 8 years of age and enrolled in at least one other style of dance to be able to participate. Acceptable styles are Jazz, Lyrical or Ballet. The Dance Team will go to at least three competitions a year in London, and in Chatham if available. The furthest I would consider going for a competition is Guelph or Niagara Falls. In addition to competitions, the dance team will do many performances throughout the year, some possibly during school hours. It is required that all team members attend at least one workshop per year. A list of possibilities will be available for all members. The dance team is a big commitment! Dance team members are required to sign a contract and maintain an attendance average of no less than 85% in your competitive class and 75% in any other classes taken. There are also competition entry fees and costume fees involved. | |
