General Information

I would like the studio be a fun and positive environment for all children. There will be space for younger siblings to play as well as an area for older students and siblings to work on homework should they wish. Parents and students are always welcome to observe any class. It is my wish for the dancers to be in a nurturing atmosphere where they can feel free to be themselves without pressure or judgement. I ask for everyone’s assistance in making this possible!

Scholarships
At the end of the year I will be handing out five scholarships for next year’s dance season. Two full scholarships, which will include all class fees for as many classes as the dancer chooses. As well I will be giving out three individual class scholarships, available in ballet, jazz, tap, acro, lyrical or hip hop. This will include all fees for that style of dance only. All scholarships do not include costume or related fees.
Candidates must be at least 8 years of age. They will be required to fill out an application form, write a one-page essay/story on why they love to dance and why they deserve a scholarship, and they will have to audition a dance they have choreographed themselves.
Scholarship winners will not be eligible for scholarships the following year but will be able to apply again the year after that.
Applications are due back no later than Feb. 1st. You must ask Erin for an application; they will not just be handed out. An audition schedule will be set after all applications are received.

Season End Recital
All students will be asked to participate in our year-end recital. It is going to be held at the Chatham Capitol Theatre at the end of May. Technical rehearsals will be held at the studio the week before. Please save these dates for the coming year!!!
Costume Fees - There will be costume fees involved, which may be the rental of a costume or the purchase of one, class depending. A detailed schedule of this event and costume fees will be handed out at a later date. A $20 payment instalment per student will be due at registration, this will be deducted off the students total owing for costumes. As well, a $50 deposit per student will be required prior to costumes being sent home. This deposit will be refunded when the costume is returned. Any student with 4 or more dances in the recital will be required to give a deposit of $100.
